FCT PMAN Engages FCT Commissioner of Police on Musician Security

In a bid to enhance security and protection for all performing musicians in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN) FCT chapter, led by Governor Sydney Jack Asowari (Sydney Sparrow), paid a courtesy visit to the FCT Commissioner of Police CP Benneth C. Igwe (psc), and his amiable team in Abuja, on Thursday February 29th, 2024 .

During the visit, Governor Sparrow and his team engaged in powerful discussions with the Commissioner of Police, highlighting the importance of ensuring the safety and well-being of all musicians in the FCT. They discussed strategies to collaborate effectively with the police to provide adequate security at music events and protect musicians from harassment and other forms of harm.

One of the major topics of discussion was the introduction of PMAN FCT authentic ID cards for all performing musicians in the FCT. These ID cards will have special features for easy identification by any police officer in the FCT, aiming to enhance security and facilitate quick assistance in case of emergencies.

The FCT Commissioner of Police welcomed the initiative and assured the PMAN delegation of the police force’s commitment to supporting and working closely with them to ensure the security and protection of all performing musicians in the FCT.

The FCT PMAN executives led by Sydney Sparrow, also inducted CP Igwe as a Patron .

This visit marks a significant step towards enhancing the relationship between the music industry and law enforcement in the FCT, promising a safer and more secure environment for musicians to thrive. though other vital issues were also discussed
